KES’s Secondary School, Kopra, Kharghar is a promising school with about 500 students from humble background. Rotary Kharghar has installed e-learning facility (RDEP – Rotary Distance Education Program) in the school in 2011 and also has been conducting health check up camps for the students. Head Master Shri. Mali had been pursuing Rotary Kharghar to install one more e-learning facility as he witnessed improvements in overall attendance records and passing % of X standard after installation of first e-leaning facility. He also wanted laboratory equipment and library for the school. Rotary Kharghar requested Rotarian PDG Vilas Jagtap who is the India Director of Muscann Foundation – NGO based in London for sponsorship. After due evaluation, Muscaan Foundation agreed. On 28th Dec, 2014, the e-learning facility and laboratory equipment was installed at the school. Library will be installed soon. Rotarian PDG Bansi Dhurandhar of RID 3140, Rotarian PDG Vilas Jagtap and Rotarian Dr. Madhav Borate graced the occasion. They emphasized the students to make utilization of the facilities for their growth. They also appreciated Rotary Kharghar for the Happy School Project. Mr Mali promised that the equipment will help in providing better educational facilities and the educated students will repay the good deeds by helping other needy ones and by becoming responsible residents of the country. President Dr. Sameer Karavkar thanked Muscaan Foundation for all the help. Rotarian PP Hemant Athawale, PP Suryanarayanan of RC Sunrise, PP Jaywant Tandel, PP Kamlesh Dhargalkar, Sachin Joshi, Rupom Mukherjee, Ramesh Samant, Prashant Kalan, Ravindra Gadre, Dr. Sudhakar Lahupachang, Joydeep Gupta, Meera Mishra, Mr Mishra and Sham Phadnis were present.
